Eileen Curtis
The Life of a Writer

Eileen Curtis had been writing all her life. In her first career, she served for twenty years as Director of Music and Cultural Affairs for WGMS AM-FM, Washington’s classical music station. As the station’s liaison to Embassy Row, she scripted and produced many cultural documentaries, for which she received a Peabody, along with multiple Gabriel and Armstrong Awards and a Silver Medal for the Arts from the Government of Austria. Her published writings include a cover story for Mid-Atlantic’s Christmas in Washington, a centerfold (shared with Andy Rooney) on Diversions’ Traveling with Children, and her book Chamber Tales: A Memoir of Commerce, Community, and Stunning Forces of Change. Her love of travel is described in her new book, Roam: Mindful Adventuring Across the Globe, which she co-authored with fellow Rotarian Pat Williams. Last year she started her new business, The Forever Gift: My Pen, Your Story, helping people write their life stories.

Eileen is also the current President of the Great Falls Rotary Club.
