What Our Boys Faced on Omaha Beach

Omaha Beach, five miles wide and great for avoiding U-boats and landing craft.  It reminded Rommel "Desert Fox" of the succesful Allied landing at Salerno in 1943.  However, this time around our losses on Omaha would dward those on the other beaches.  Understand what our boys were up against and the litany of events which enabled those losses on Day-D.  By 10:30 AM, Allied leadership was ready to throw in the  towel.
